Text of death notice

" We discharge a very painful duty today in announcing the death of H.B. Falconberry, Esq., of Polk township, which occurred on Sunday last, the 7th inst. [my comment: that would have been Sunday April 7, 1861 as date of death for him] He was a most estimable citizen, and leaves behind a host of friends, besides his own family, who sincerely lament his death.
The deceased was born in Lincoln Co., Ky., in 1809, from whence, at the age of 16, he emigrated to Decatur county, in this State [ added- so that would be about 1825], and removed to this county [added- meanign Marshall County, IN] in 1847, where he lived until removed by death. Having confessed Christ before men, and proved his faith by his works, the grim monster found him not unprepared for his summons, but ready to depart and enter into rest.
